Zermatt Matterhorn Golf

In the village of Randa, a short train or Car ride from Zermatt, the Matterhorn resort, lies a new, John Chilver Stainer designed golf course. Golfing in Zermatt is a relatively new opportunity and, although the course features just 9-holes, it is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. The Zermatt golf club is located on the right side of the road (going down from Zermatt?) between Visp and Tasch, and not too far from the village of Randa. Open from April to October (weather permitting) the Matterhorn golf club is a great reason to visit Zermatt during those periods. Although skiing is a year-round pursuit in Zermatt, Golf now too offers yet another major sport for Zermatt and the region. The Matterhorn Club is 1400 meters above sea level and has been open for just a couple of years. He course is laid out on both sides of the river Vispa and offers a view of the Matterhorn and some of the best and immediate mountains in Switzerland.
