Did you know that there are actually two golf courses in Innsbruck? Yep there are, one is a 9-hole course and the other is a full 18-holes. We’re referring to the Innsbruck-Igls golf club whaich has two entries. There is an 18-hole championship course in Rinn while the village of Lans sports a 9-hole entry. At 920 meters above sea level the 18-hole course is situated in the Glungezer Mountain and we are told, offers quite a challenge. Besides offering a stunning view, the altitude of the course and its layout over hill and dale offer plenty of variety in the form of shot creation.
The nine-hole course is Lans is not exactly low lying at just under 900 meters above the sea. In spite of the difficulty the rolling hills and tree-surrounded holes may bring, this is a marvelous course for a day of relaxation. Almost the entire course can be viewed from the clubhouse and those visiting from Innsbruck (about 10 minutes away as the car drives) will be glad they chose this city for their break that includes golf.
